Sharing Experiences of a Qualitative Longitudinal Study

As part of the Timescapes Seminar Series: The Choice and Change study has longitudinally examined the experiences of welfare service users that have made choices about their services and support, within the context of changing circumstances. Conducted as part of the Social Policy Research Unit’s department of Health-funded research programme, four groups of disabled people were interviewed over a period of 3 years about the changes that they had experienced in their care and support as a result of their disability or illness.

In this seminar the study team presented a selection of their research findings and shared their experiences of conducting a qualitative longitudinal study. Speakers from the team included Caroline Glendinning, Kate Baxter, Parvaneh Rabiee, Jane Maddison and Wendy Mitchell.
