Timescapes Memoryshare Event

BBC Memoryshare is a living archive of memories from 1900 to the present day. Memoryshare is a means for the BBC to connect with individuals who have stories to tell about their own lives, and gives everyone a simple tool to search and discover contemporary news and social history content.

The Timescapes Memoryshare project encompassed the BBC Memoryshare partnership and the Family Lives and Turning points exhibition. The project was put together to increase our impact and engagement with the public.

Timescapes teamed up with BBC Memoryshare to collect memories of relationships and personal life. This was an important partnership between the BBC and Timescapes. BBC Timescapes Memoryshare is a living archive of memories from 1900 to the present day. Individual memories formed part of a specialist collection that will be preserved for posterity.

Timescapes successfully ran two Memoryshare exhibitions in March 2011 and May 2011.
